 MIKE COLTON
Introduction

On April 2nd 2003 Mike Colton and Scarf Jones met up with Sir David Childs at the National Memorial Arboretum and viewed a piece of scrubland between the River Tame and two quarry lakes. After handing over a sizeable donation for the three acre plot we set to work creating the Allied Special Forces Memorial Grove.

Mike Colton is seen pointing towards the Deep Water sign, perhaps an omen for the future. We removed the thin line of barbed wire and the sign and set about doing something positive.

Scarf Jones served with the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, Green Jackets and Royal Green Jackets. Mike Colton met up with Scarf at Peninsula Barracks in Winchester whilst both were serving as training Corporals at the Royal Green Jackets Depot during the early 70's.
